oh umm have u covered the exhaust pipe and if its an pull start pull it like 5 or 6 times to give it a go to build up compression i think or else it just souposed to prime it ithink not sure

    Possible causes:
fuel tube from tank to carb too long
pinhole in the tubing (visible if you stretch it in your hand)
blockage in fuel nipple where tube connects to carb (dried fuel usually)
faulty/worn pump button on top of tank
blockage in pressure nipple on exhaust where tank tube connects
tank top seal is faulty (does it go "pop" when you open tank)
throttle is closed (prime on full throttle, then throttle down to start)

no primer on tank, and no i dont think the lid goes pop when it is opened ill take it that takes from the compression? how much about are new tanks, r is there anything i can do about it? cheers

Here is a way to check it.
First ... clean the exhaust outlet ! !
    Set throttle at full open
    Now blow into the exhaust.

Does the fuel zoom up to the engine?
If it doesn't - find out where the air (your breath) escaped.

well i now own a fuel injected engine..... fuel wasnt priming...i noticed a syringe.... took the line off the exhaust pipe...inserted syringe and pushed, fuel went through and wahoo!!! truck still wouldnt run right!!!!!! but now i can remove the fuel by reversing the syringe action if i dont finish a tank!!
