    Hi Photo experts,

If I was to sell my Nikon D70 and 18-70 DX lens + 67mm UV filter and 67mm polariser filter, boxed, what should I be looking for. Everything being in tip top condition?

    Cheers

I'd say about €450-€500 or so.

you having a laugh? :) You just paid over €900 for the D70s body and your saying this should sell this for 450-500?

    I'd be trying €700-750 min.

How many shots have you taken with it?

A quick look at ebay seems to agree with eas. It is the old model but I don't think there were that many changes to the camera overall.

How old is it and is it still in warranty?

sorry - didn't mean that last post to sound so confrontational - no offence there sinecurea....

the D70 and D70s are more or less identical in all areas. AFAIK, the only real difference being that the d70s has a 2inch screen over the d70 1.8inch. Oddly though, they both have the same resolution, so the the review picture on the older D70 is theoretically sharper.

The D70s also comes with firmware b (an upgrade), but Nikon was kind enough to release the firmware so D70 users could upgrade as well.

    edit - sp.

    Hi Guys,

Its about 18 months old, but has not been used that much. It has the firmware upgrade applied to it also.

    Cheers

Out of interest, where will you be selling it?

Did Apple not offer you the 15% discount Halenger?

I put that Olympus thing behind me a while back. Especially with it looking like they weren't lying after all.

I'm still fairly intent on the D50 (probably from them unless anyone feels insane in town tomorrow and price matches them) but I'm not one to turn a blind eye to alternatives also. :)

They were lying but I don't have the time to press the issue (I am too busy studying law - ironic!)

Sorry, I forgot the camera on was a D50 and not the D70.

Hear that Minolta has sold the camera division off to Sony? Sad news... I love my G530!

    Hi halenger

I would sell it in Ireland if I can, if not then eBay. I should change my handle location. I am back close to home from Singapore till the summer

Well when you decide on a price let me know. I'll keep it in mind at least. I'd have to look into it more to know if I was properly interested to be honest.

Oops! I meant that in sterling by the way, not Euros (I'm in the North). So £450 £500 should have read about €750, bearing in mind that it's not the D70s.

    eas, wanna step outside? :)

I can't think of a decent come back to that, so I'll take this opportunity to celebrate my 2000th post :)

The 18-70 will sell for around €250, any of the Dublin camera stores will take it off you. The D70 around 450.
