Volunteer Dublin

I'm in my early 20s and I'd like to get involved in some volunteer work in the dublin area. I work full time so and evening a week or something would probably suit me best. Unfortunately I'm very squimish so The Order of Malta is a definate No No! :rolleyes: I'd appreciate any advice.
