Ok this may seem boring as f*ck to some people but I was wondering what font everyone prefers to use and if they think it says anything about their character???

When I say character I mean their personality and not the actual alpha typed

    :v:

Plain old Times New Roman. I type better than I write. One time I handed an essay in to English class. The teacher couldn't read it and asked me to read it. I couldn't even read it!!

what a mental topic! but none the less it merits an answer.... Usually times new roman for word documents and verdana in webpages, dunno why, just do it automatically these days.

    Verdana....

Arial Unicode. Not as good a support for characters as Code2000 and it's successors, but not as ugly. Still not a pretty font, and the kerning tables are a bit small, but on a PC, and hence without as good a fall-back operation for missing characters as some systems, it's a must.

I use whatever the default is for whatever im using. Cant say i put much thought into my fonts tbh.

Can anybody tell me what Wingdings and Webdings are for please

I use Verdana in most things. Sometimes Georgia. I can't stand reading Times New Roman on screen. In print it's not too bad, but on screen makes me gag.

For eMail and the occasional (very) word doc I prefer Eurostile. I also use it as my system font in firefox. For forums I use default; I find using something different makes the post look odd and out of place...same with using coloured text...

    Worst. Font. Ever.

I usually use Arial, which was ripped-off another font by Microsoft
Far better than the ridiculously cliché TNR.

Eurostile is a very nice font also.

Because it doesn't translate well to a screen

Really depends on what I'm writing. Any official, then it's Times New Roman (boo!) but other than that it depends on the aim of the text and for what purpose.

Whats a good font to use in small sizes - like 7 point or smaller, for legibility.
I want to get some desktop space back.

    You're crazy.

Capt'n Midnight the font "Arabic Transparent" looks pretty clear at size 7. It's simple but legible. www.dafont.com has some great fonts too.

Small Fonts is a non-true-type font. As legible as you'll get at size seven.

In terms of Sans-Serif I quite like Trebuchet MS, and Verdana's nice.

The serif font has to be Garamond for me. It's very classy, it must be said.

However, don't get me started on that Comic Sans business. Everyone seems to fuskin' love it, and it's used in EVERYTHING. My God, my blood boils every time I see it used in yet another poster or leaflet or whatever. Also, why does everyone use it in msn? It's horrible!

www.bancomicsans.com is a fairly funny site.
