I've got two elderly friends, one in Oregon and one in Gloucestershire, both of whom would really benefit from a nice iBook on the one hand and a nice (flowerpot) iMac on the other.... Anyone know where can I look for good inexpensive ones? Competition on eBay seems fairly extreme. Anywhere else? Thanks.

Try buyandsell.net. I bought an mp3 player there before, if you make sure you see them before you buy you should be able to get them handily enough.

well the US its not too bad:

    www.macofalltrades.com

UK, erm ebay is really it, just stick to your budget and play the waiting game. Ebay UK is great to sell apple, not to buy, try to buy from Germany or Spain.

Buyandsell is sparsely populated, and not at all inexpensive. I must say there were some bargains on eBay.de, but alas, the German hardware keyboard would not be appropriate for my elderly friends. They'd balk, I am sure of it.
