you don't delete page breaks in Excel.
Just go into "View" on the toolbar and view "Normal".
You can, however, move the page breaks by click and dragging on the blue break bars.

Alternatively, highlight the area you wish to print... right mouse click and "set as print area".
Not sure exactly what your trying to do... give more info if the above doesnt help.

I'm in "view normal". Basically, I've accidentally inserted a page break and want to get rid of it. I wont be printing the spreadsheet. I just have this annoying dashed line vertically down.

I don't have Excel here in front of me...

Doh! Just re-read the post, I was talking about Word. Ignore me, I am not with it today.

select/highlight any cell thats on the right of the dashed line... now go to "Insert" and you should get the option "Remove page break".

If you have a page break running horizontal, highlight a cell that's below it.

    hope that works

    strange ....

I suppose you could have also started a new worksheet .... copy over everything (maybe in sections to avoid the specific format problem) tidy it up ... and off you go ....

Think I've done that in the past in the face of an insurmountable problem that I could not figure out
