Scrapping my car

I have a 1998 Peugeot 106 and it's got 71k miles on the clock. Over the past few months it has started to give me loads of trouble and, at this stage, I think I'm better off upgrading rather than spending the money on repairs. Does anyone know how I'd go about scrapping it? Peugeot stopped production of the 106 in 1998, so I'm sure there's a demand for parts??? I live in Cork. All advice gladly welcomed!

maybe try the Buy & Sell under spare parts at the back of the motors section. like you say, if they're not made anymore there should be some demand for it.

    I think you'll find they didn't.

Cripes - you're right. They only stopped production in 2003. Yikes. I think I'll drive it till it dies on me! Thanks for the info.

Man, this is more proof that Peugeots (and possibly all European made cars bar VW/Audi/Skoda) suck, at the end of the day like...

I cringe whenever someone I know tells me they've just got a great deal on a car, and that it's a Peugeot. Unless it's a diesel.

Once you go Jap, there ain't no turning back... :v:

Yes there is turning back, Especially when you look at most of their Fugly looks and dash'es inside. The japs may be reliable, ill give that to them but 95% of their cars I admit send me to sleep looking at them.

Reliability is either a priority or it isn't. However you could kill two birds with ones stone and buy one of the exciting AND reliable ones.
