Tweak XP has corrupted word files.

    I've been using the Folder Protect function on Tweak XP to secure a folder on my PC from prying names (journal not pron before anyone brings it up). Thing is, this week after unprotecting the folder, all the files (ten years of writing) seem to be unreadable. My backup is the same, I must've backed up after the folder corrupted. I'm able to get most of the files from an older backup but I've lost most of this year.

    Anyone encountered this before or have any soutions for trying to recover the files?

    have you tried this??

    Linkage ....you lose all formating etc....data is there though...

    a quick google will find loads of utilities that claim to recover unopenable word docs....all seen to be around the $60-$70 mark...dunno of any free ones meself...someone else probobly will though..

    Nobody else encountered this?

    What are the best programs for securing folders anyway? Don't want this happening again.
