yes u played it wrong imo, bottom set when any 56 makes the nut str8, and numerous cards are there for the wrap on the turn is not a strong hand in omaha. (and u should have got out when he raised you on the turn).
And then when the board paired on the end, you should definetely have been trying to check it down.
Getting involved with these types of hands will cost u your stack more often than not in omaha.

When he raises the turn either you lay it down because you think he has you beat, or you push because you think you are ahead.

I lay it down personally, 222 is a pile of krud on that board.

I actually lay it down preflop too.

Your biggest mistake here was playing AQ22 before the flop. Playing junk like that is asking for people to take your money. 22 can't make the nuts except on a board that contains another two 2's, so you're effectively playing only one reasonable hand - AQs. That's one reasonable two-card combination out of a possible six - this hand is unplayable in omaha.

I think it's reasonable to beleive that you are ahead on the turn. Nobody has bet the flop (if your opponent had flopped a straight it would usually be wrong for him or her to check it). But if you are ahead, what hands to you think are raising you? Most likely either a higher set or two pair (almost always going to be top-two or top-and-third). If these are likely hands for the villian, then you are probably behind when the top card pairs on the river. With bottom set on the turn if you reckon you're ahead you have to tank it in this spot, as there are too many cards that kill your hand or your action on the river.

Well it would be helpful to have the stack sizes, the size of the preflop raise, and the positions of you and the other player. But I would usually fold this hand preflop, and bet/fold the turn facing a pot raise. On the river you have to call for $20 into a $200 pot with a full house. If you were first to speak on the river, I wouldn't check it down because you might get a crying call from trip 8s or the straight, just stick in the $20.

Obviously you don't remember the action very well, but at no point did your opponent "call with two pair".

Fold preflop. Postflop. Check call all the way.

This is remarkably different from your previous listing.

You failed to mention that you had bottom set and the nut flush draw on the turn.
You also failed to mention that you minraised in early position preflop.

I fold preflop, but getting to the flop, check is fine. I call the turn, and I *might* call the river, but I also might fold.

In fairness what did you think he had when he bet the turn, got raised and called ?

Basically its pretty horrible on every street that money went in (in my opinion)

as mentioned the main mistake was playing the hand with 22 in it in the first place.

if read my first post properly u would of seen AsQs 22 as my hand and the turn give me a set and flush draw.

any way i wont be play another hand with 22 again i think the fact it was 3am was a factor in the way i played .
