I'm just wondering what you Guys are running as far as a spur gear goes, should I replace the original with the same Traxxas one or buy a Metal one like this on Ebay....40_2.jpg

Also should ya replace the pegs aswell while Your at it:confused:

    What are you using???

Your better off sticking with plastic spurs because there cheap to replace when they break, although they shouldn't really if the mesh is set right.. Problem with the metal ones are you can start stripping clutch bells then which are almost twice the price of a plastic spur! So just stock up on the plastic spurs... And for the slipper pegs they wont really need replacing unless the top of them is turning a mushroom shape but there'd be no harm in putting in a new set... And to be honest that metal one you attached looks like its very weak.. :)

Sounds like a good enough reason to stick with the plastic ones & I suppose something has gotta give and best off something cheap;) ...

Other question is where in Dublin do I get a Spur gear for a T-maxx
preferably on the northside, I know planet fun have them but is there anyone else that does Traxxs stuff???

Greene Hobby don't stock traxxas. they were supposed to get a dealership last year sometime but the guys in there said it never turned out. The only traxxas stockist I know in Dublin is Planet Fun. Go to www.rchopups.co.uk or www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk I buy all my traxxas stuff from these. They're both dirt cheap and deliver real well too. I got aluminum suspension arms front and rear for €80 and had them in 3 days
    Hope this helps

Thanks Guys, it seems buying these bits are easier got online... I'm trying to plan ahead and maybe pick up a carbon brake disk and a couple of spur gears aswell, Is there any other parts you would recommend buying to have at hand for the tool box??? What other parts does the T-maxx consume, though I recon the reason why the spur gear went today was because I was racing it through long wet grass :D

    Dual Brakes for T-Maxx { Reckoned to be Better than the Carbon one ;) }
Includes 2 Hard Coated 7075 Alum Vented Rotors, 2 Longer Cap Screws and 3 Carbon Pads. The dual brake design allows for greater stopping power, less fade and quicker starts due to less rotating mass.

I will definatly have one of those glow starters.....I'll hold off on the suspension Kit for now:D

Does the T-maxx run through brake disks or will the original
    one last for a while?

BTW the Dyna Glow that was sitting in the shed for the last year
was fine....It was still poping wheelies:D

    As for the Brakes.
I am going to order 2 sets over the weekend , 1 set for my sons T-Maxx and one for my Revo.
I do notice that the brakes are quite weak on them.. according to a buddy of mine in the UK these brakes will almost make them flip over when you hit them.. :D

Glad the Nitro was ok for you . ;)
