As a recovering alcoholic I find this thread highly offensive.

    70. The patrons at your local bar are your extended family, your fathers and mothers, your brothers and sisters. Except you get to sleep with these sisters. And if you're really drunk, the mothers.

    roffle :D

    71. It's acceptable, traditional in fact, to disappear during a night of hard drinking. You will appear mysterious and your friends will understand. If they even notice.

    Love it

    46. After three drinks, you will forget a woman's name two seconds after she tells you. The rest of the night you will call her “baby” or “darling”.

No that's me all the time.

    Jaysus, lighten up.

OP, great link by the way.

I've got no problem with the link, but the original thread title was a unnecessarily insensitive.

Take it you didn't get to the last rule then.

    Good post.

    55. If you think you might be slurring a little, then you are slurring a lot. If you think you are slurring a lot, then you are not speaking English.

i didn't say you had a problem to a link. The title is only insensitive to the very sensitive however.

Then ignore it, and let the rest of us that don't find it offensive enjoy it.

But it's also misleading. I saw on the mainpage "for you alcoholics out there" -- the last thing I expected to see was a list of boozing guidelines.

'For u drinkers out there' can be ignored.

It's a fairly simple matter to be honest.

Some very funny stuff in there. A lot of it is especially true from the point of view of someone working in a bar. I've had people come up to me and ask, whilst standing in front of the taps, what beer we have on draught. FFS.

Take a chill pill my friends!! Can't see where ur getting offended by the title. Alcholics should know the rules all ready so it should be nothing new.

    *shrugs*

I changed it because some people would get upset. The link is funny mate, there's no problems there, but tbh it isn't any less funny with the new title. I think it's easier and cleaner this way, but that's just me. :)

I too have no problem with the link. It was the original title I had an issue with.

That crass remark of yours says more about you than it does about me.

    Rehab is for quitters ;)

I dont honestly know if you are being serious or not, but afer reading the link from start to finnish I saw nothiing glorifying drinking. I was actually some rather drole advise.

I had absolutely NO problem with the link at any time. My beef was with the original title (which was the only reason I clicked on the thread in the first place.) Also "rabies" seems to think alcoholism is something funny. "Have a drink and calm down." and "print it out and stick it on a wall at an AA meeting." seems to be his/her idea of wit. Are you really so crass as to think such remarks are funny?. Alcoholics spend most of their lives trying NOT to have a drink!
