I remember we talked about having another one of these in the new year, and since the poker scene is relatively quiet at the moment it seems like a good oportunity to start the Boards Championship of Online Poker II!!!

I was thinking towards the end of February would be a good time. I'm also hoping ot be have Razz and HORSE events on Full Tilt!! Wooohooo!!

    What does everyone think?

    Bring it on.

Maybe we could do something with the Antesup league , include it as an event or something.

I didnt get to play in the last one (too busy bouncing round the world like a demented bunny!) but I'd like to try it this time...

so are you going to do a BCOOP separate to the antesup league? i think theres a lot of people on here now who would like the original format and to play it on Stars.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,434 ✭✭✭cardshark202

Yes keep it on stars. I missed the last one but I'd definately be up for the next one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,537 ✭✭✭Ste05

Yep, I'd say run it as well as the Antesup league, and of course RAZZ and HORSE on Full Tilt, should be a nice addition :D.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,434 ✭✭✭cardshark202

Yeah I can't wait for the HORSE tourney.:D

Switch to 7-stud instead of stud hi/lo too. It's a far better game.

Is there any chance that the tourny could be on ppp??
lots of people on this forum can only really play on ppp coz of a lack of a credit card,
if its on ppp then everyone can play unlike stars
Maybe ppp boss could help with setting it up??

im not sure thats really the point,

Not sure what the buyin is for this tourny but i dont think people are looking to win a fortune from this, only to play with fellow boardies and ripe the piss out of them when they bust them:D

A lot of the newer poster may only be able to play on PPP, like myself, sure its just this tourny, no one is asking you to play any other tournies on tribeca, anyway i think that PPP is far better looking visually than Stars, whats with those faded cards??

I'd be one of those who'd much prefer Stars, I never really play on PPP. If you don't have a credit card you could just set up a Neteller account. Deposit into All-In in the Fitz, try them, and cash out some of it into your Neteller account, sounds like a bit of bother but you could do all this in about 10 minutes on-line and next time you're in the Fitz deposit from there.

Once you try Stars for a while you'll see why so many people prefer it to PPP.

Im not sayin PPP/tribeca is better than stars
Clearly Stars is a far superior site with more players, better tournies etc,
I am just wondering if for this one tourny it would be possible to switch it to accomodate people, maybe a vote is needed, it might be just me who wants the switch

It can't be done on PPP because they don't support private tournies.

  • Business & Finance Moderators, Entertainment Moderators Posts: 32,387 Mod ✭✭✭✭DeVore

Sorry I wasnt suggesting we choose between the AU league and the BCOOP, they are going to be very different and the BCOOP is quite unique in that it involves various flavours of poker. I am only thinking that since the AU league will run for 10 months and we have some plans to do a kind of Meta-League incorporating various big tournies that it might be fun to work together on something. Or it might be a hideous nightmare. Mike is looking after all of that.

As for t-shirts and mugs. Yes, in about 6 weeks :)

Well this is a thread about the BCOOP and you can't play stud (or have private tournaments) on PPP. Similarly imo the tribeca software is right up there with party as the worst software i've played on.

I've been playing on VC for the last week or so chasing a bonus :v: and the amount of times I time out or it comes to my turn and i've less than 10 seconds to act is ridiculous. This doesn't happen with other sites.

well we can start another 'problems with ppp' thread if ya like and i'll answer all q's as best i can.

i was honestly just trying to keep this thread on topic.....i shouldn't bother since we have mods for that type of thing :p

    so to address the comments:
    Imposter wrote:

as usual i'm just going to give personal, not company opinion. i've played with a LOT of software worse than PPP. it isn't my personal favourite either but i think it's in a different league to party poker.

i haven't experienced this problem myself other than in the 100K tourney which was unintentionally over subscribed which caused bad lag. players have a total of 25 secs to make a decision on our site. i would have to look at any specific timeout problems more closely to comment.

so this BCOOP thing should be a hoot....

Yes to be fair I was just stirring. Not very becoming of a mod I know. I've played tribecca for a long time and have always like it but I do constantly expereince the slow dowsn. I play STTs mainly on PPP and it will freeze on me at least 2 times during a game and often disconnect so I know what Ste is on about. Anyway the BCOOP you say...

Nicky, if this is staying on FullTilt, drop me a PM to arrange for some FT schwag gear to be offered as prizes.

I don't know what you are all talking about. Pacific Poker is the best site :P

BCOOP sounds good, will seriously need to brush up (as in start playing) other variances of poker.
