thinking of getting a rc truck (the offroader pickup things)

    how much do they cost
where can i get them second hand or is second hand a bad idea
do they hold they're value if i wanted to sell it again in a few months
would it be cheaper to buy everything serperatly and build it myself or is this to much hassle/to hard

    OK then,
thinking of getting a rc truck (the offroader pickup things) Excellent Idea.. You wont regret it.

how much do they cost That depends on exactly which model you go for... The cheapest model I would buy is the T-Maxx.
where can i get them second hand or is second hand a bad idea...You can get them Second Hand but just be careful, I buy 95% of my rc gear second hand and have no regrets but I have a good idea of what would be good and what would be dodgy.. Now against that the seller may not be 100% honest in their description.
do they hold they're value if i wanted to sell it again in a few months NO...!!! Everything drops in value.. Saying that the T-Maxx - / - Revo - / - Savage - / - In fact all the top names hold their value pretty well if you look after them.
would it be cheaper to buy everything serperatly and build it myself or is this to much hassle/to hard.... Probably better to buy Ready to Run... Less grief and that way you know that everything matches up for you { that is assuming that you are a complete novice.} ;)

    One other thing..
    KEEP ASKING QUESTIONS ON HERE...!!
We are only glad to help .:D

vectra may swear by 2nd hand gear, but he knows what hes looking at when he sees it, me on the other hand picked up a savage, but it wasnt welll looked after by its previous owner, consequently iam putting some money into it at the moment to get it going perfect, so by all means buy second hand...but look closely at what you're gettin and how its been used!!

well you first gotta cose what you want :)
I would bring it down to savage , t-maxx or MGT/Mta4
the t-maxx is an ideal beginners and i have never came across someone who says otherwise, there are tons of after market ittems and pares are easy to get (tho that might change)
the savage some think you need to be slightly more experienced to use this but others like me would say, nah go for it :) it is one of the most durabile trucks around lots of after market part and lots of spares the only downer i think is the sise of the chassis some think it can be very hard to work with as it is a bit cramped but meh its an exelent truck
the MGT or Mta4 (they are basicly the same but under 2 names) i dont have much knowlage of apart from being told they are very good and big and easer to work with than the savage ;-/
the revo i dont have much knowlage of either but it is a top competitor with the savage when it is racing tho if you are just bashiing, im not sure
and price wize im not to sure of eaither as i am a n00b really to R/Cs
and polease everyone congratulate on my longest ever post :p
