My Sky dish has a quad LNB on it(at least its says quad lnb on the side of it)and Ive a question regarding connecting up a third sky box--two are used for the multiroom.

Im thinking of buying a box and ftv card on ebay or the likes and what I want to know is the following:

1.How hard is it to connect a third cable to the lnb itself?

2.Can I upset the signal by doing so?

3.Will the third box have to be connected to a phone line??

4.Whats the maximum length of Satellite cable that I can use in one piece-- (Third box is going into the conservatory so the cable lenght will be approx 60-80 feet)

5.What type of connections are on the LNB itself?

    Thanks
    Richie

A plastic rain shield / cover Clicks up/down. Unlike single LNBs there should be no tape.

If you can't see the connectors just "click up" the cover.

If you can, then pull/click it down.
