Hi, I went to Eurodisney in Paris last November and have to say it was brilliant. My experience is as follows:

Just myself and my daughter (12years old) went. We flew from Dublin Airport to Charles de Gaule in Paris with Air France. I booked it as a package deal with a local travel agents. Lots of travel agents offer a 3 nights for the price of 2 deal and 4 for the price of 3 deal. Our package included flights, hotel (breakfast included), bus direct to Disney from Charles de Gaule and vice versa, park tickets for duration of stay (all rides included). So basically all I needed was spending money and make my way to Dublin Airport. The total price was €820 which to me was excellent value. There are 6 or 7 hotels within the resort ranging from 2 star to 5 starish. We stayed in the Hotel Cheyenne (cowboy theme) which was a 2 star hotel and we were very happy with it. Now we had enquired about staying in the Disney Hotel and it would have been nearly another €800ish just to stay in the main hotel which to me isn’t really worth it. The hotel is really only where you put your head down at night as there is so much to do. There are shuttle buses every 10 mins from hotels into the park. I don’t think we were ever waiting for a bus for more than 5 mins. Look up the disneylandparis website for more info on the different hotels available.

To save money on food you should make sure you have a big breakfast and lots of people take (for lunch later) some rolls, sliced meat, yogurt and cheese that’s available at the unlimited supply at breakfast which is buffet style. We didn’t cop onto this until day 2. So that should only really leave you with dinner to buy. There is a McDonald’s (bad for you I know) but it is very cheap and perhaps have dinner there once. The other restaurants are fairly expensive. We tried most of them and I have to say Café Mickey was the best. You have to book beforehand which you can do from your room. Annette’s Diner was a let down for us.

Don’t know what age group your kids are but I think a good idea is to let kids know beforehand that the trip alone is a big enough treat and perhaps give them their own “spending money” to spend in the numerous gift shops. Gifts are very expensive and this will make them think before they spend “their” money rather than if Mam or Dad are buying (even though you still are!). I hope that makes sense but even though my daughter is old enough to understand this anyway she was more reluctant to spend her money (even though I gave it to her) and was inclined to say its not worth it about lots of items but if she was asking and me paying she would have expected more.

If you have room bring your own snacks like bottles of beer, coke, crisps, chocolate. I think it was €2 - €3 for a bottle coke and they don’t have any nice crisps like Tayto. So perhaps let each child bring their own little lunch box with munchies in their suitcase as this will save you paying €1+ for horrible French crisps.

Can’t think of anything else at the moment but if you have any more questions just ask..

We (2 adults and 2 children) went in December and it worked out cheaper for us to book each thing separately. I suppose it depends on the time of year you are going. We flew with Aer Lingus from Cork to CDG and it cost €454, I think Dublin was a wee bit cheaper. 4 nights at the Holiday Inn 4* and it was €92 per room per night including breakfast and we made up rolls which we took with us for lunch. The hotel is lovely and very child friendly. It's one of the 4 selected hotels. Also it has a swimming pool which we used every evening. The Disneyland bus from the airport to Disney costs €14 per adult and €11.50 per child each way. We bought annual passes. I think for a 3 day pass it costs €109 per adult and €89 per child. So for flights, 4 nights accomodation with breakfast, coach transfer and annual pass to the parks it cost us €1300 approx for the 4 of us. Very good value and will be even better next time since we have the passes. We thought Annettes diner was good. There's a restaurant near Pirate's of the Caribbeen and thought that was lovely. The boats pass through the restaurant.
