This week on Thats Entertainment I will be talking to ex bass player with The Smiths, Andy Rourke, about his latest fundraiser - Manchester V Cancer and his re-union with Smiths guitarist - Johnny Marr.

We continue our 2006 sessions with a visit from Q ahead of his Sugar Club gig later on Thursday night.

And of course Sheena from Entertainment.ie will be joining us once again to deliver the weekend aheads gig listings.

Flicking through the radio stations there lastnight I was pleasantly surprised when I came across 103.2FM. The show is called 10 Hertz (Hz) and plays a great selection of indie music. The dj plays 3 songs in a row, talks for a minute then plays another 3, and this goes on for 2 hours with no ads. One playlist I remember was Elliott Smith's "Needle In The Hay", followed by Chet Baker's "My Funny Valentine", followed by a Joanna Newsom track!

The dj is a legend and I would much prefer to listen to him then the likes of Tom Dunne. He also played some really new stuff that I had never heard but sounded great. Unfortunately its a Dublin station and the show is only on at 12am-2am on Tuesday nights. Still... worth a listen.

HEY thats me...every monday night, tueday night and wednesday night 103.2 plays great music... Im on tuesdays... any requests... i will play them next tuesday... give me at least 3 tunes... Thanks for tuning in... we should be up and online next week...for those outside dublin...

We take a look at what's happening musically at the weekend, cool comps, interviewing upcomming acts as well as acoustic sessions galore with some of Dublin's hottest acts. Past sessions include, The Chapters, Duke Special, The Radio, The Rags, Delorentos, Turn, Frank & Walters, 8-Ball & The Rakes.

This week, former front man of Lir, David Hopkins will be in studio previewing brand new matertial as well as music from his Debut "Amber & Green". It was a really good set and man, can that guy sing!

We'll be talking to Jim Caroll, one of the organisers behind ireland's brand new Choice Music Awards-new awards for best Irish album of the year. If you havent heard about these before, think an Irish version of Mercury Music Awards.

I've no problems with people from Anna Livia posting about stuff they're doing that's relelvant to this forum but please try to keep it all in one thread. It's getting annoying when every second new thread is Anna Livia pimping their wares. I'll delete any further posts outside of this thread unless it's something monumental (such as a Smiths reunion live session).
