Rate Ladder Matches

I'm thinking of making a new site dedicated to Ladder Matches (including TLCs).
I'm starting off with WWE. I want to have a rating next to each match, this is where you come in.
It would be great if you could copy and paste this list and put a rating out of 10 next to each match that you remember. If you haven't seen the match, just erase it from the list.
I know you guys have seen most, if not all, of these matches so this would really help. Thanks.

You've listed a lot of matches here to comment on, so i'll just say the ones that stick out for me are the very first with HBK and Razor, the first two TLC's and anyone involving RVD or Eddie.

was the very first not bret and shawn? but the HBK and Razor ones stand out for me

Technically, the first one was between Bret and Bad News Allen (he was called Brown in WWF), in '83 for Stampede Wrestling.
But for WWF/E, then yeah you’re right, Bret/HBK in ‘92 was the first.
It was actually for the IC title, but it was not televised, it was a recorded house show for one of those Coliseum Home Videos, so not many people would have seen it.
For that reason, the WM 10 one was hyped as the first, WWE have a habit of conveniently ignoring matches/events that didn’t happen on one of their regular programmes, like a wrestler who's been appearing at house shows for weeks but isn’t classed as debuting until his first TV match. (Hell, sometimes they ignore things that did happen on those shows).

I don't want anyone to comment on them.
Just simply copy and paste the list and put a rating next to each one.

It won't take you a minute.

You've listed 28 matches, only Rainman could remember and rate all of them in less than a minute.

Maybe if you just cut the list down a little, to 10 or 15 it would be more manageable.

i haven't seem a few of them so i left them out, ladder match is my favourite though.
i've rated most as seven as any ladder match with E&C, hardyz, rvd and other usual suspects are always good standard, only those that really excelled got above 8, definitely try and get your hands on Jericho v Benoit a classic and easily as good as hbk vs the bad guy.

What would it have taked for you to give a 10?!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,792 ✭✭✭J.R.HARTLEY

i'm just always wary of saying something is a 10 or the best ever.
In past tense ,to date i'd give it a ten, but in the view that you never know whats around the next corner........
if a match comes along that's a little better than it, it deserves a higher rank.
it was really a caution thing,
heart said 10 brain said 9
