Quality of Service (QoS) Setup

When people are downloading large files or whatever in my house, my internet gaming gets all laggy. When people are downloading large files or whatever in my house, my internet gaming gets all laggy. I want to set up QoS so that my connection takes preference over others who really can wait an extra few seconds for there files while I can still have a reasonable internet gaming experience. Thing is my Cayman wireless router doesn't explain a whole lot or makes things easy, and they have damn all on their web site. Is there anywhere that i can read up on QoS and/or does anyone here have QoS set up. A few screen shots of router setting pages for QoS might be handy too. Thanks.:)
