Anyone been on a good Activity Holiday that they were happy with. I've given up on the package holiday years ago but this year we'r thinking of going back to a Costa something or Tenerief kind of place for a few days. But only if we can get a good deal on it with activities like Scuba diving, White water rafting, surfing, boating etc in with it.

Activitybreaks.com do ok packages. Went skiing just after Xmas with a holiday booked with them. They got the price of the airport transfer wrong which pissed me off, but other than that, it was a good deal.

    Hi Jesper,

Nielson and Thomsons Travel do activity holidays.

A couple of years ago I went on an activity holiday with Nielson to Greece.
It was great fun - we could choose a main activity (with lessons), like windsurfing or sailing, and then pay extra to do scuba diving and water skiiing.
We barely had a second free the whole 2 weeks - it was great to have a beach holiday, but to actually do something, instead of just sunbathe all the time.
The only bad thing was that everyone in the hotel was irish and english, including all the staff. It was hard to know we were even in Greece, until we left the hotel grounds to go down to the local tavernas.

Alternatively if you you dont go with a company where it's all organised and you instead go independently to somewhere like Tenerife, there are loads of shops offering scuba diving, renting of windsurf equipment etc.

    Thanks Fridge,
I'm just back (Monday night) from a ski trip with Activity Breaks. Found them very good to deal with. One envelope at hotel with all the information we needed. Also they arranged return transfers from airport for good price. did you go to Mountcampion by any chance?
