Cascais/Lisbon?

    Hi all,
My parents really enjoyed a holiday in Sitges, a little coastal town outside Barcelona, trekking into the city when they felt like it, and are looking for a similiar holiday.

Cascais, half an hour from Lisbon seems ideal, but the region seems mountainous and my mother has an extreme fear of heights. Has anyone made this journey and is it at all scary? Bare in mind that my mother can't go to Johnny Fox's (the highest pub in Ireland...allegedly!):)

Quick question... How is your mother going to get there if she is afraid of heights?

Anyway, been there before - sister in law used to live in Cascais... lovely little village and lots of nice little beaches and cobblestones. Was about 6 yrs since I was there and was pretty much unspoiled at the time... nice little square area with lots of restaurants and quiet bars....

Thanks voodoo. Any advice on the journey between Lisbon and Cascais?

Its the view that causes dizziness for her, and twisting turning roads. She takes an aisle seat on a plane....and a valium.
