When you get the piece of paper confirming that you are pregnant does it have the conception date on it? Or is there any such thing?

    What peice of paper ?
a home kits does not have a piece of paper.
If you go see your gp they will do the test in thier office and caculate your due date there and then.
The gp can also write up a declaration if you wish for your employeer if it is needed.
A futher calcuation of your due date is done at your first prenatal appointment with which every materity hospital you attend and it is marked on your charts.

There are due date calculators on line.

No but what if your not sure of your conception date? Is there no way of knowing?

Conception date is always vauge which is why the date is calculated from the start of the previous cycle ie the first date of your last period.
Which is why hospitals will leave a two week window at the end of a pregnacy before inducing.
basically a full term pregnacy is 9 and 1/2 mths or 280 days which is 10 lunar mnths.

A dating scan helps reduce the margin of error. Measurements taken via ultrasound at around 8-12 weeks (or up to 16 weeks, but it becomes less accurate) can give an indication of the date of conception. However, it's still going to be imprecise.

No one will ever be able to say it was such-and-such a date. You give the doctor the date of your last period and he will work out your due date from that. When you have a scan it will give and estimated due date based on the size of your baby, but as the others have said, this is only an estimate.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but are you trying to identify the father rather than the baby's arrival date?

You can get pregnant from anywhere from the 12/13 day after your period to the 24/25 day after your period.

If you were delibratly charting your fertility with a hormoane check and a temp a check you would know when you were due to ovulate but that is in the run up to being pregnant. Plus you have the fact that sperm can remain alive and viable inside the womb for 72 hours.

unless she only had sex once, then that'd be a bit more accurate.

You have to calculate 12-14 days from your last period and then obviously if you are pg then you had sex around that time, so there you have it. Perhaps your partner/significant other could help you.
