Special Needs People

Where could one go about finding a special needs person for work. By that I mean I have jobs that would be "below" most people in our society but would give great satisfaction and self worth to people of special needs. Ive heard of people with down syndrome being thought to tend for themselves and do certain jobs. Thanks
