Prima Problem

I entered the 5.5 guaranteed on prima this morning at 7:00am, its still running here, im chip leader, down to last 11, the software keeps freezing after it says "The hand is being saved. The next hand will start as soon as the save completes.", it then says that about 20 times. Haven't played a hand in 40 minutes and the blinds are still goin up.

SO SO annoying, just wondering has anyone experienced this before or know what i should do? Sit tight? Other people in the room are tryin to get in touch with poker managers.

Have you checked the local disk space on the your machine. Never encountered this and is most likely a software problem but just the description suggests that there is a slight possibility that it is just taking a long time to save the hand history to the local hard drive.

Edit: Just saw it is happening to other people so this is hardly the case.

Yea it seems to be happening to everyone. Im chip leader with 70 odd thousand and the blinds are gona be 5 and 10k next, surely they cant let the tournie go on like this? Anyone ever experienced this before or know what the likely course of action will be?

This was just messaged through on the chat box

"There has been an error storing the results of this hand. For tournaments the buy-ins and fees will be refunded."

What a complete load of bollix, theres nothing really i can do is there?

Used to happen when i played Ladbrokes as well, the odd time.... but it only lasted a few seconds, and all players were affected, and the game physically froze so it didn't affect anything, other than the annoying time delay.

They started the tournie back up, restarted with me in the bb at 12k, was originally 2k when it started ****in up. Turned into a complete and utter crapshoot, surely they cuda reset the blinds or sumthin?

I *think* that the saving hand message means that their backend database is running slow. If that's correct, the next message would mean that it has stopped working all together.

Online sites occasionally have technical problems that result in canceled tournaments etc. However, they usually pay the prize pool out to the remaining players according to chip count. If they don't do this, be sure to ask why.

Surely if you are chip leader after over 3 hours of play the just cannot pull the plug on the event and give you back your buyin. I would not be a happy camper if I was in this position.

That was very very frustrating to say the least. You cant get hold of a poker manager at all on prima. Should i be pestering boylesports about this or prima?

You might get a more sympathetic ear going through boylesports.

They said the tournament was goin to be cancelled and everyone would be refunded their buy-in's, but then it started back up again and i was in the bb, for 12k of my 72k stack, when it started screwing up we had only started playing 1k/2k. It was a complete and utter crapshoot, 3 hours of very good play totally screwed up. Great.
