wow. That is class. Nice lighting and old feel to it. It feels like your looking through the lens of the pictured camera. What was the set up and camera settings?

Is very nice indeed. what lighting/background setup did you use? I have one of those cameras at home that I bought recently off ebay for 15 quid. the 50 f1.8 lens is beautiful

Also a Praktica owner, but although I've had this since new, I only took it out of retirement about 6 months ago:

As for your picture, I like it. The low angle and absence of background makes quite a statement of solidity and reliability.

Nice picture, you would be hard pushed to find a better one in a magazine review or adverstiment. It might just be me but i think the focus is ever so slightly off with the strap, but that just might be my bad old eyes

But if that is your camera how did you take the picture!?! ... Spooky ... :p

Thanks all for the kind words. Basically all i did was use two white boards one as a flooring and one as a back drop. this was set up on an island in my kitchen and i was able to point the kitchen lights down on the object (my kitchen lights are like a bunch of spotlights). The camera i used was normal run of the mill digital camera i got in argos a few years ago. im saving to get a proper digital camera. One thing i hate about these kind of digital camera is the auto focus, its a real pain. i took about 50 pictures of the camera from different angles. this i thought was the best for composition and light.

we must both have bad eyes so because it looks a smalll bit soft to me too. not surprising though if it's a cheap ol' camera as the OP says

Nice alright, I love photo's with a white background, you can really emphasise what you want.
