    Hi,
I've heard mention of photobox.ie. Are these the best to send my digital camera pics to for printing? How long does it usually take? Are they reliable? Is there a better site out there? How do they compare in terms of pricing and service?

    Any feedback appreciated:)

Do a search on this forum as this has been answered before.

I've used photobox and they are very good. Having said that there are cheaper out there http://www.foto.com/ireland/default.asp.

Just had a new look and saw that you can get 501 photos printed and delivered for €22.23

That looks a bit cheaper alright, thanks! I did search but I was just wondering what's the best one at present:)

I've used photobox also on a couple of occassions and found them reliable and quick. I can't comment on any other crowds.

I'm thinking of getting my digi-cam owning relatives to pool our photos together to get the 501 + rate.

with foto.com the price per print is .01 cent per print only after the first 500 so you are chared .09 cent per print unto the 500, and that is with out P&P.

I used them to get photos done recently, they are not that bad, however i got my prints as 6x4.4 as they don't shape the photo to the print size so you end up with the top and bottom chopped off at the 6x4 size

Here is the pricelist for photodiscount.ie. Seems good:) 6-124 photos is 9c with free delivery up to 100 photos. Do you have to spend €108 on credits in order to avail of the 9c offer photobox.ie have? You have to buy 1200 credits at 9c each which is €108. I think photodiscount is the one to go with if that's the case since I can get 6 photos delivered for €2.04 (there is a €1.50 processing charge).

    Wonder how the quality is???

As a semi-professional photographer, I've found Photoboxes prints to be too dark. There was a magazine article recently about them and it agreed. They say they dont interfere with the photos in any way but I'm not so sure. There's something not right with their system. I have my monitor calibrated pretty well and if I print myself or use any other service I generally get exactly what I see on screen. Not with Photobox.

I'm still looking for another reliable internet printing company, as the local shop here is too expensive.

Just gave them a ring and it's a 24 hours service, in today, collect tomorrow. Yeah it's 6x4, 100 for €13.99. What would this usually retail at in a local chemist as I need these asap. Greystones is about 20 minutes away, which is about €2 petrol each way. Got to take all these things into consideration:D What would I be paying in Bray (an average chemist/photo center?)

spectra in local chemists are doing 19c prints till end february. no minimum amount required. Just check before you leave your photos in that they understand the offer as my local chemist tried to swindle me.:(

How would I know which chemist offers this deal? :)

www.snapfish.co.uk have a special offer for 1p prints if you you use the code "penny"
YOu also get 20 free prints signing up.
You have to pay shipping. I don't know how much it is to Ireland, but it was £1.50 to ship 60 pics to the UK.

In all these places do you need to copy your photos onto a CD to get them done ?

No you mostly upload the photos yourself.

I just uploaded 70 photos on photobox and ordered them printed. Cost me €0.00. :D (30 free print credits when you sign up, someone here then posted a code for 40 more free and 1 free delivery credit.) So the 70 prints and p&p cost nothing. Thanks btw to whoever posted that code, keep them coming! :P :)
