its week 2. think it also incorporates valentines day. but last year was class on the monday night. had the best night ever! wonder what the SU have up their sleeves...!

It starts on Monday the 13th of February and yes there'll be loads of interesting parties

We're still working on lots of ideas but I can tell you there will be three bar extensions, a rag trip and lots of good bands and games during the day too.

And all ideas are welcome if anyone has anything they want to put forward!

3 Bar Extensions and a Rag Trip, interesting. I assume one of those extensions will be on the day of the Rag Trip...

I'd say Monday, Tuesday (same day as Rag Trip) and Wednesday for the Extensions and then Thursday for the Rag Ball? ...or is that just dreaming?

i'd agree, but that'll only work if ragball is off campus - if its on campus then one of the extensions will have to go for that...

but cant wait. yeay!

Aye, but where could they have the Rag Ball tbh. If its off campus the tickets are gona be ~€10 and you're going to have the same bloody people moaning about how "expensive" it is. Then if they chose to have it on campus it'll be the usual "SU Events are ****e" rant that they'll be going on. *sigh*

Meh, either way I'll be there so I dont really care tbh!

i'll be there too. i think once the tickets are under €10, people won't mind... its a rag ball, we don't care who plays at it, just once the beer is cheap...

Your second week of term is RAGWEEK and this years promises to be the
best RAGWEEK DCU has ever seen! Some of the acts confirmed are Rodrigo
y Gabriela, The Chalets, The Radio, The Immediate, Aslan, The Rags, The
Camembert Quartet AND MORE...

This year there will be no less than THREE RAG BALLS with bar-extensions
during the week and the entrance fee into each of them is €10. Every
night will be something different.

Monday is our Dance/DJ night (still waiting for confirmation of the
headline, our originally confirmed act, Mylo, has some disgusting ear
infection and has cancelled all of his bloody gigs for 2006), Wednesday
is Indie Night and Thursday is Irish Rock. If the three of these nights
all rock yer socks then you can avail of "The Three-Balled Ticket"
costing JUST €25. This gives entrance into the three balls...obviously
enough

The Tuesday of RAGWEEK is Valentines Day and for all you lovely DCU
couples out there, we have Rodrigo y Gabriela playing in the Venue, with
tickets at €12.50. For everyone else there is €3 drinks in the bar and
there's also the infamous RAGTRIP...not bad alternatives!

AS WELL as all that, there are bands and DJ's playing all day every day
in the Old Bar...what more would you expect?!

Must say its pretty god damn good! Theres plenty for everyone and although I would prefer the odd proper rock or metal band I've become accustomed to their absense. Having Rodrigo y Gabriella back is fantastic though, as anyone who was there last year will agree, they're brilliant, only downside is you'll miss them if you go on the Trip, ah well! Nice to see Aslan back aswell, its been too long!
Ticket prices are quite reasonable also so it should be hard for people to bitch about them...

One thing though, she only mentions that the Rag Trip is on Tuesday but theres no other details?

Well ticket prices and the time the buses are leaving would be handy I guess, then again they may just be leaving that closer to the date itself...
