Right i have had the game for a while, decided to install BF2 special orces and give it another go. So there I was on wake Island, the americans had capped a flag and the war ahd truely begun. So I spawn at the nearest flag, and staight away a guy runs by me and the name comes up in red. After unloading my clip into him, I see a neat message telling me I have been punished for a teamkill.
Followed by a M21 shot to the head.

Great.

Just bloody Great.

So I spawn againn. See the same guy run by me still with his name in red. So i follow him curious. He runs up doling out ammo to 2 other guys lying down on a hill. One with a green name, the other red. To my right another player runs by. A quick hesitation as I see red but cant be positive, is followed by a death.

So I spawn againn. I now train my crosshairs on said hill of death. To see 4 people jumping up and down like morons, having no clue as to which are friendly and which are not, due to both the fact that at any distance the models look the same at fist glance and to the fact that out of 16 players on my side 3 kept coming up as enemies.

So I exit the game and put it back on the shelf where it belongs.

..then you look at the army uniform they are wearing.

US - bright yellow/cream
China/MEC - Dark ****ty brown

I dont see this problem as much as i did when
the game first came out.

It happened to me a few times that i was in a jeep
and i was cutting down every red name that appeared.
next i was on -15.
but once i knew that there was a problem I looked at
players more carefully than usual and got my score
back up.

This game will not be going on any shelf for me until
BF3 (or equivilant game).

yesterday i was playing on karkand and there was a guy in MEC clothes running in our group, strange thing is i was american. nobody else was shooting him so i thought must be the skin bug.

so i shoot him.... and i get a regular kill message.....
i lost 1 point for wounding a team-mate but got 2 for killing an enemy.
so i did it again, same thing happened.

then he started going off on one calling me a teamkiller, but for some reason he couldnt punish me. nobody would beleive him because i had positive score. then he came over and knifed me and i got the option to punish.....

Its easy to say what colour uniform they are wearing but when 6 or 7 guys are capping a flag with people popping up everywhere and teammate s running around, the hesitation from seeing red and checking their clothing got me killed nearly every time. And when I didnt hesitate , a few were teamkills and I got kicked after 3 or 4 minutes. And im not even going bother complaining about the amount of friendly planes I have taken down with AA guns compared to one planes I was trying for. And for the punishes fom the pilots.

I got that aswell a few times recently.

a bit off topic, but has anyone noticed someone really weird when it seems a "dead body" of your squad is still alive and walking around, helmet off, no weapon and arms out by their side?
Looked hilarious as I saw one of my squad members with it.... is this some sort of hack?

No, its when a medic revives them but their kit is gone, so they are literally weaponless - not even a crowbar.

What you saw was someone revived without a kit. They're left weaponless, and kitless, running around in the pose they had when revived. Please try not to jump to conclusions such as hacking or cheats.

How has their kit dissapeared? If someone takes it don't they leave their kit in its place?

They could slide down a hill away from it. An explosion could seperate them. Random glitch?

It happened to be me few times when flying a mec jet, my teams tank\apc\jeep shows up as a target, not the triangle with an X thru it, i of course bomb 'em and then get rightly punished. The red name thing is always happening to me, sometimes an enemy behind a building or wall, his red name will appear over your teammates(karkland 2nd flag famous for it).

Was on a server with a few clan mates and one on the same team as me kept insisting ( on TS ) that I was red. The rest of my team mates saw me as being blue. Must be a random bug affecting just the one client rather than the entire server.

Hhmm this was'nt on gulf of oman by any chance? Same thing happend to me except it was me shooting my teammate in red. could'nt figure it out he looked american but had the red so i had to shoot him. got him 3 times before i got used to the name.

yep the same thing happened to me...wonder will the new patch sort it out...or maybe it's a deserter hack or the server equilising the teams glitch?

Shooting AA at a plane that's tailing one of your own jets is destined to result in a TK and a punish. This is the law according to Jesus, so did say Moses.

EDIT: The screenshots don't show it, do you remember if he showed up on UAV?

the no kit would explain it then as ive being revived a few times with a AK 47 yet im US i never knew about the kit thing so maybe the uniform is the same , make y ou think if you pick up a kit on the other side do you change uniform ?

Ye its happened to me a few times!!
I think its something to do with auto balance!!
My mate was on and he kept killin a guy which it said to him was on the other team but for me it said was on our team!!

on most if not all levels with china/usa, both sides are in green jungle camo. very hard to tell who is who. nearly have to be right beside them to tell. by then its too l8.not the same when its mec/usa levels where usa is normally in desert camo.
