I am trying to overclock my xp2500+
Motherboard: chaintech 7NIF2 Pheonix, Award bios v6.00PG
    RAM: 1gb pc3200

When i go into my bios stting, it allows me to change the fsb, but it appears as though the vcore is locked and cannot be changed.

Just want to make sure that it is due to my motherboard or if a newer bios or something else can be used to change it

Try a new bios from the manufacturer's site. I wouldnt bet on a chaintech being jammed with OC options though.
