Signed up for the Blueface trial using the softphone. Works good from my side but the person on the other side was reporting a bad echo. Anything I can do about this or is this a Blueface issue?

It could be the headset. If you are using a mic and speakers that would do it too. I found an ATA much better than my PC.

It's a Sennheiser headset, thought they would be ok. Can a headset cause echo on the other side?? Thought this would just effect my side?

I want to test a little more before getting the ATA but this is the only problem I have, as far as I am concerned everything on my side works great. Just want to get rid of the echo from the recipients side.

The quality of the soft phone isn't the best. It also depends on your broadband connection. I use the netgear device with a dect phone at home with rip wave (from Irish Broad Band) and there is usually a bit of an echo.

In the office I have a grandstream ip phone and we use smart telecom as out isp and the quality is perfect.

I have 2MB broadband, connection is good.

Have a Cisco 7940 phone here at work, couldn't be any clearer. I'll try a few more calls this week and see how it goes, made most of my calls on Saturday evening, so maybe the line was not so good at that time! I'm tempted to get the ATA, probably make a final decision on it by the weekend!

I had the same problem. It disappeared once I moved to hardware.
