help with sony cybershot

    I got a sony cybershot at christmas and it was working perfectly. Now i can't turn it on. It will turn on in the view picture mode and i can view all the photos i have taken but it refuses to turn on for me to take photos. Please can anyone help me i'm sure it's just something silly.

    What model cybershot is it? Does it have EVF? ( Eyepiece )
    check to see if there is a display button on your camera, if there is, see if it is set to off or eyepiece only etc, make sure your lens cap isint on ( It happens ) and see if you have a picture in your viewfinder ( Not your lcd ).

    I'm going to regret saying this but all it needed was new batteries. How come I could view photos but not take any when the battery was low?

    It takes way less power just to read from the Memory card than to power the optics and censor.

    what camera is it? does it take AA size battery or a Sony type?

    Go into a sony center or peats and look for high powered AA rechargeble batteries for digital cameras. they should be ~€20 for 4.
