    Ebay.

Dean Markley SR2000's. Seek them out. They are the best.

If you want a decent, if not spectacular, string at the right price, then get on down to www.webstrings.com - they are quite decent and amazing value for the price.

They are good strings but you can never just label one set as the perfect set, different strings for different sounds, I myself use D'ddario Medium light gauges myself for a Bright but deep sound

I never said they were perfect, I just said, in my opinion of course, they were the best. They stand head and shoulders above any other string I've tried (which covers D'Addario, Elixir, Rotosound, Vox, Ernie Ball, Fender, Rickenbacker, Queen, Webstrings, Elites, Warwick and others I can't even remember from the last 17 years), though I'd still put Rotosounds on the Ric for that tone alone. Though judging on overall tone, responsiveness, durability, evenness, consistency, clarity and tonal felxibility I haven't played a string that has impressed me as much as the SR2000s. Also, knowing that Christophicus plays a 5 string, the tapered ball end of the SR2000s makes, again in my opinion, a huge difference compared to the likes of D'Addario, Rotosound, et al who put the full diameter of the string gauge across the bridge saddle :)
