What shops sell apple games and other software? HMV and Game don't seem to, the only shop ive seen is O2, and they dont sell much. Are there any other ones?

apple.ie is your best bet, only place i've ever seen it, is top floor in j&r in new york, even the apple store in nyc didnt have a huge selection of software/games

Never seen any in Irish stores, apart from the odd (OLD) games in PC World.

Check out http://www.macgamestore.com/ if you're looking for games. From what I've seen they are much cheaper than the apple store. Bought a game from them about a year ago and had no problems. Just had a quick look to compare the prices for James Bond 007: NightFire. (both include postage to Ireland)
    $30 macgamestore
    €53.30 on apple store

If looking for stuff that isn't games

    www.micromail.ie
    www.softsell.ie - possibly

    http://www.openoffice.org - download for Mac OS X - who needs M$Office

Darwin - full BSD type OS and all the stuff that goes with that
    http://developer.apple.com/darwin/

another route for very old games would be to use sw to emulate windows and run them that way

Like everything else you can get alot of Mac software/games etc at Amazon.uk and are as reasonably priced as anywhere else, and seem to be pretty quick with dispatch etc, Ok they're huge uncaring monsters but then so is Apple.

I don't like the online apple store. You have to be around to sign for deliveries, which I think is a bit over the top if your only getting something really small delivered. And they ring you to ask for directions. Too much hassle. My postman never needs directions! :)

I've had a look at some of those websites, I'm trying to find photoshop or something similar. I wanted to try it out before I buy it but can only find the Windows free trial. Anyone know of a mac one?

Just go to the Adobe website i'm sure you can download a free trial version of Photoshop for Mac. Also, there is a free app called Image tricks on versointracker you should checkout

The place at the bottom of Grafton St near Trinity sells some games. Not a great choice though. Your best bet is online...
