Assuming XP pro is properly licenced, the price looks pretty bang on to me.

Can you get a 7800GT exchanged for the 6800Ultra? Or get a Seasonic PSU instead?
    Otherwise v. nice.

The Hiper 580W PSU is very good anyway.

The Hiper's are known to not be that reliable when put under pressure.
I'm not speaking from experience, but it's just what I've read and seen about the place.
Also, the 512mb 6800's are a bit of a rip to be honest. I remember seeing benchmark's comparing them to the 256mb versions, and there was very little difference (if any).
I'd say if you can, switch the PSU for a more reliable brand (Seasonic, as mentioned above, or Enermax etc.) and see if you can change cards.

That said, even if you do buy that system as is, it's still a good deal and is powerful enough to eat most things.

well, bought it & got him to throw in some Creative Inspire 5.1 Digital Speakers, a Fujifilm F401 Digital camera, an IBM webcam and delivery to my door for another few quid - its only 4 months old anyway.

overall i'm pretty happy, although i had been looking at those "Buy It Now" PCs on eBay Germany which seem cheap..

in terms of the future, would this motherboard support AMD X2 dual core?

Socket 939 X2's, yup; AFAIK, just needs a BIOS update.
Oh yeah. Anything which seems to be too good to be true (eBay PC's), usually is.

Yes, probably with a BIOS upgrade (it does at the moment anyway).
Great deal you got there! Congrats.
