New to Python

Hi,

I'm interested in learning a bit about python and what it does. ive been messing around with it a bit just doing simple things but i don't know much to be honest. can anybody give me any help or any idea where to start? puttin in simple codes, simple programmes etc.

If you know another programming language, then I strongly recommend you learn Python from 'Dive into Python'. It assumes that you know how to programme, so it won't spend about 20 pages explaining what a variable is.
