Logging into other peoples pcs!

    Is it true that it is possible to access someone elses pc through some sort of special software on your own pc,heard something about it but was not sure,u had to be within a certain range like 100 metres or so...anyone heard bout this????:eek:

    That short range it would probably be Bluetooth
    WiFi can go a lot further especially if the other person has a high gain antenna.
    IrDA several meters

    Depends on what you have running and if you have passworded it or locked it down. The default on IrDA could be to accept files, then the victim would have to open manually.

    Or they could connect to them as network connections, in which case it's as dangerous as being on the internet.
