After following a link in another thread I became quickly impressed with MediaPortal and set about discovering how to install it. I'm probably missing something, but where do you start?

Install the .NET runtimes (1.1 and 2.0) just to be sure to be sure.
Install mediaPortal.

Now have fun playing with filters and codecs and join endless debates about which is the best MPEG2 demultiplxer and does XVid, DivX or FFDShow rock your world!
