    of the free anti virus software listed above which would you recommend for a laptop? got an inspiron 6000 off santa and it came with a couple free months protection from McAfee. thanks

    Listed above? Where? I used to use AVG Anti Virus. Its free, and does a good job. You cant loose anything by trying. Youll be able to find it on www.download.com

    AVG is the way to go by far the best Anti Virus. No annoying popups reminders etc. and is completely free.

    That McAfee security on Dell PC's is pure horse manure, mine surrendered after 3months to a fairly simple virus. Get AVG or the Norton 6 month protection on the Google pack. Either that or get it to the habit of backing up and take a course on formatting the HD as McAfee is crap. :mad:
