    Hi,

Atlantic sell a nice office/manager's chair for 89 euro but unfortunately they're out of stock and not re-stocking for a month or so:

    http://www.buy4now.ie/atlantic/productdetail.aspx?pid=810547&loc=P&catid=12.2.46612.1

Has anyone bought a similar one recently? Can anyone recommend any shops? I've shopped around a bit (woodies, bargaintown, various furniture shops etc) but no luck.

If the link doesn't work, it's a leather seat with a high back, arms, and gas lift.

    cheers

EDIT: Meant to say, I saw the recent post on this but couldn't find one in my local Aldi. The ones in Argos look ok but I'd rather try it out before buying!

    I have one.
It's like the one in Argos that is for 49.99 or the 79.99 one..
Not sure as I'm not at home.
It's red in colour. It's yours for 20euro.

edit; also have a dark green one. Way more sturdy and it is definately more like the 79.99 one in argos.
    Yours for 40.

Debenhams (Cork but maybe elsewhere) have a leather one reduced to below €100

A word of warning about the Atlantic chairs. I bought one early last year. About a week after assembling it the gas lift failed and the chair just dropped down every time I sat in it. I brought it back to Atlantic and the demeanour of the staff when asking me if I wanted a replacement or a refund led me to believe that I definitely wasn't the first person to bring one of the chairs back. Naturally I took the refund!

    You could try this http://www.vikingdirect.ie/(qswetkupmde31m45tl04rx55)/catalogSku.aspx?id=DIRECTOR&N=3%20326&PR=QD1

Free delivery but you have to add VAT to stated price.

Viking do have offers on these chairs from time to time so if you are not in a hurry just check their site regularly or sign up for their free ezine.

Haven't a clue how good or bad they are but there was a thread here a couple of months ago about them

I bought a leather chair in Atlantic homecare just before Christmas.
Already the 2 plastic arms have snapped.
Not in a structurally significant place, but still.... I ain't impressed.

Thanks for the replies guys, esp the warnings!

Bought the high-back argos "leather" chair over the weekend, having tried it out at a mate's gaff
