    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone here could recommend a stockist for mosaic supplies - cements, tesserae, cutters, etc in Dublin or elsewhere in Ireland?

evans may have some stuff (near jervis luas station), im not sure about kennedys. you may have to get their catalogues and see what they've got. otherwise you try looking at the sticky for art shops above, you may find something there. if not post up here again and someone else who works with mosaics may be able to help you. :)

    Thanks for this.

I am booked to do a basic intro to Mosaics at the local community college from the end of January so am trying to suss out the stockists of tesserae before that starts, though no doubt we will be advised as to where to get the materials in the first lesson (I hope).

    RobEire,

when we looked to cover a seat we got "end of line" and broken mosaic and tiles from our local tile store.

I presume that tesserae is a specialist type of tile, but you could try Mosaic assemblers in Fonthill.

I am interested in making mosaics, and wondered how you found the course you were booked into, and if you had any further information on suppliers? I'm also in the Dublin area.

Trinity Comprehensive in Ballymun run a glass design and mosaic course on a Tuesday evening. I think registration is on 15 Jan but you could perhaps call them to verify. I started with it in October.

Mostly we cut stained glass to use in the mosaic for the moment. I think it mostly came from Dublin Art Glass.

tilestyle in ballymount d12 are very reasonable and will accomadate small quantities, mosaic assemblers do mixed bags pretty cheap too.
