    hello,
can anybody tell me where i can get a copy (dvd / vhs or whatever) of any of the following :
    "Mise Eire"
    A terrible Beauty
    "Rising of the Moon"

Amazingly these movies are classed as Irish (Country of origin) but can you get them anywhere????Certainly not in ireland. In the case of Mise Eire this is a scandal as this was produced by Gael Linn. They don't seem to give a fiddlers. As the world moves on into the 21st.century, Gael linn don't seem to have the will to update it's own films into modern formats or give them another national cinema showing. In the case of Mise Eire I would suggest putting English Subtitles as well. You never know, you might have an International "hit" on your hands.
In the case of "A Terrible Beauty"and "The rising of the moon" these are of course pure Hollywood , but is there no Irish Cultural Body interested in bringing out these films. They form a significant part of Irish popular Cultural History over the last Hundred years.

Have you tried the IFI? They have a lot of DVDs and so on of the more obscure stuff and of more Irish stuff also. Might be worth asking them at least.
