Any decent 2.5mm earphones..?

Bought a 20Gb player very cheap, only gripe is it only takes earphones with a 2.5mm jack instead of the usual 3.5mm. I want to get some better headphones, ideally the retractable kind, but on eBay I've only come across what look like sh1tty cheap things from HK.

Can anybody recommend something? Or should I just buy a set with a 3.5mm jack, snip it off and fit one of these?

That's probably your best option right there...

Cheers Bard. Any recommendations? I only paid €130 for the player, so I'm not inclined to spend a fortune...:o Was thinking of Sennheiser PX200?

You can get a 2.5 to 3.5 jack for about 1.20 in maplin. I have a nice pair of Sony headphones though, so I only use it when im in the car

Bard beat me to it apparently. If your like me you should buy more then one, I lose them handy enough.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of mp3 player is it? Never heard of one with a 2.5mm jack before.

It's one of these. Lidl in Limerick had a 'Super-pikey' carpark sale back before Christmas and it was down 50% from €259 to €129. Couldn't resist...:D

Tbh the sound is grand (through speakers) and the FM reception is better than my sister's Zen Micro!

Only problem with a 2.5mm~3.5mm adaptor is it'll stick out at 90° and will probably get battered fairly quickly, pulling it in and out of my pocket. That L-shaped one Celticfire linked to looks a bit better, but you can buy a pair of Creative earbuds for just £1.50 more...
