Hi, i have a 3.5" 400gig ide drive that im looking to make external (usb2 only - no need for firewire - would like it as quiet as possible without compromising on cooling).
I was wondering if there's any case you all would recommend. i was looking on komplett and there are some bad comments on the design of some of them so id like to get a good one you know.
    Appreciate your help and expierence...

I bought a cheap aluminium case on eBay. It's very compact and has no fan. It relies on the aluminium acting as a sort of heatsink. The case does get warm when its in use, but I guess this is an indication that it is cooling the hard drive. It seems to work fine for me.
