Im a big fan of Behringer, they do skim a little on quality control but get decent equipment out at prices no one can quibble at but for 548 euro I think you can do better. Do you need a 4x12 at the moment? Any gig you play at should have a suitable P.A for amplying any amp, and for practice a decent 1x12 can easily amplify itself louder than a unmic'd drumkit in my experience. If I had the money I would prob get a decent second hand head and a cheap as chips cab of any size (even 1x12) and look at upgrading the cab to a good 4x12 in the future.

    For Example these heads:

Peavey Valve King Head. Go over to the forums at www.mxtabs.net (its no longer a tab site, dont worry mods) and check out the posts about it, it seemed to be getting some rave reviews.

Framus Red Rouge. (Havnt played it but have heard nothing but good about framus tube amps)

Bahhh, no self-respecting Rock God would go onstage without at least a half-stack! :p

Of course, if you don't actually plan on going onstage, it might be a bit of overkill.
That head looks especially tasty, a 60w stereo analog modeling head with tons of effects.

I bought an Ultrabass 1200 combo for practices and was wowed by its power and growly tone...
and then Wednesday I took my new rig, a 450w head and 1x15 cab w/horn (Both Behringer) to practice for the first time.

Unbelievable *stadium-filling* power and tone. I can't BELIEVE what a sound it makes for a total of $459 USD. The guys in my band went from "oooh, nice" with the Ultrabass 1200 to "WTF!! WOW!!" with the new stack.

I want to start hearing examples from all these people who use the words 'Behringer', 'bad', and 'quality' in the same sentence.
I think people must assume that simply because Behringer doesn't go for Marshall prices. The stuff I have is built like a tank and sounds incredible.

    Rabid Behringer Fan

I use a very similar rig at the moment, it was just the right price at the right time. Im upgrading at the moment but the Behringer head and cab were perfect. They sound decent for modeller amps but they arent the loudest thing in the world. They will have to be mic'd at gigs etc but for jamming etc they are perfect.

    Depends...

If I had a good PA system with my band then Id get a lower power, higher quality 2nd hand combo amp. Whats available would ultimately govern my choice but keep an eye out on the boards for sale section and the buy and sell. A quality ENGL, or Marshall 2nd hand for E400-E500 region would sound fantastic. It can be put through the PA then for extra volume/balance at a gig. Its also easier to store a 40W combo in your bedroom than a half-stack.

If you dont have a good PA system, then maybe this is the way to go. Ive never used a Behringer V-tone :/

Here's another option, just something to consider.

Hmmm....match that Line6 head with the Behringer cab w/Jensen speakers, and I'd call that a weiner!

The line6 head is pretty much identical in sound to the Behringer except the Beh has more options and FX. The Line 6 can feed back like a bastard too.
