    Hey all,

I have a 128mb xd card. Its about 1 year old. It was working fine up to a few days ago.

I didn't do anything to it but when I put it into a camera (I tried 2 different cams) it says "Card not initialised"

I tried formatting the card but I got formatting failed after awhile!

    Any ideas??

Did you try the card in a card reader see if that reads it and if it does blank whatever is on it, Save any sentimental stuff. Try formatting it on another camera maybe. I have an Olympus C765 and it takes one of those cards, I remember i left the camera about two months without turning it on and that happened i was able to format it though. Is it an Olympus or Fuji make ?

    Hey,

Ya i tried a reader aswell, I tried to format though the pc because I can't get into menus on the cameras....it just says card not initialsed and it won't let me go any further!!

The reader can read the card but anything that was on it was gone....(even before the format!)

try making sure the contacts are all clean on the card and then try putting it in again.
