    sorry if this has been asked somewhere else before (by someone other than me) but i can't seem to get any answers with P.S's in other thread. so, is there anyone out there that has any solid, possibly detailed information on knights of the old republic 3? played the first 2, liked em, and am wondering about the 3rd. anyone?:confused:

    Haven't heard anything on the KOTOR front but Biowares current project is very similar sounding in Mass Effect. It is also an RPG and has a Sci Fi setting.

    Well it's beyond certain that KOTOR 3 will happen, the first two sold in massive numbers, it's as the Americans say 'a no brainer'. To be honest, my prediction for KOTOR 3 will that it'll be a standard Star Wars sequel, they won't stray from the gameplay of the first two, you'll get the standard graphical overhaul to be expected with the jump in hardware from the Xbox to the 360 and, as illustrated by KOTOR 2, the story will be an amalgamation of the first two. Originality is dead, long live originality..

    They had something about it on IGN yesterday, it was more predictions than any fact, but they say Obsidian(who did KOTOR 2) are working on it and it'll probably be out in early 2007, and a PS3 version isn't out of the question too.

    PS3 version? Don't Bioware (owned by Microsoft) control the KOTOR franchise?

    Bioware are concentrating on developing their own intellectual property at the mo, which is why they passed Neverwinter Nights 2 onto Obsidian. Wouldnt be surprised to see them working on KotOR as well.

    Lucas Arts own the franchise. And Bioware aren't owned by Microsoft anyway. From their website: Founded in 1995, BioWare Corp. is a privately owned Canadian corporation based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

    But from what I heard Obsidian are doing KOTOR3, their the same company that did KOTOR2, Bioware are concentrating on Mass Effect and then Jade Empire 2 I believe.
