Setting up extra Drives on Dell Poweredge 2650

I have a poweredge server here in work that requires some attention. At present the only drive visible via the O/S is the primary c: drive even though I've been reliably informed that the machine has several other drives connected.

I'm not familiar with Server setup so when a co worker stated that the machine may require a RAID controller to setup the drives my eyes started to glaze over.

Does anyone have experience with these machines and can point me in the right direction?

Check Disk Management and see if any other disks are listed... if not they will have to be initialised by the raid controller. Reboot and look for anything along the lines of "Hit F8 for Array Configuration" (F8 on proliants anyway) .. your answers lie in there .. basically you need to create a raid configuration from the unused drives.. (they'd be the drives unlit on the front of the rack unit)... once thats done, go back into disk management and let windows do the rest.
