Can anyone tell me of how to get rid of athe desktop trojan I have, it turns the desktop white and there is still the spyware warning at the top as well even though I've run adaware, spybot and the Microsoft anti spyware software.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Make sure all AV and Anti spyware programs are up to date.

    Boot into Safe mode

Run the programs, that should do it. If it still doesnt remove it you might try turning of the system restore and then running the programs again in safe mode.

If that dont work let me know and ill come up with something new for ya.

    Best of luck!!!

to disable system restore: Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
On the System Restore tab, tick Turn off System Restore. it will ask u to reboot
then to boot in safe mode:
press F8 as u turn on the computer just before the windows logo comes on
    select boot from safe mode

Switch off your machine, When you restart keep tapping F8 then it should bring up a menu and just select Safe Mode. If you get keyboard errors or anything like that just restart and try again!

To turn off Windows XP System Restore

Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
On the System Restore tab, check Turn off System Restore.
    Click Apply and hey presto!!!!

Same procedure for turning it back on, just uncheck "turn of system restore"

This tab wont appear unless your logged on as Administrator, as far as i can remember!
