Its a sofa bed really, pretty clean, and all that, only that it was in a conservatory for a couple of years. There's some bleaching of one of the arms and back due to being in the sun all the time. But it also has a kind of dusty, musty smell.

I vacuumed it when we got it, machine washed the pillow/cushion covers, and even gone to the extent of ironing the arms and back using Bounce sheets. Its worked for the most part, but the dusty smell is still there.

Febreeze hasn't worked much either. Any oher suggestions?

    TIA,

    Seanie.

    Hmmmm,

Did you open the lining on the bottom and remove all the musty old Bank Notes ? :)

Sorry couldn't resist it brought to mind the old song "Grandma's Rockin Chair" :)

Seriously removing the lining and allowing the inside to air out might work ;)

Thanks guys. Its not damp, just the smell of being in the sunny confines of a conservatory that it was in for like 5 years!

I'll try tipping it over and getting underneath the lining, thanks for that.
