Today I was reading a board which I had posted a very valid point about someone who had broken a law, a few people posted back to say, where u hurt injured, delayed or inflicted in anyway by this. Truth is I wasnt no, could have been maybe.

However does this make it right no, people dont complain in this country until it effects them directly, then they will get on their highest horse possible and make sure they are heard. For instance if I ring the gardai cause i see someone say hanging around a car park checking out cars, some might call me a snitch however that same person would give me sh*t if I waited till their car was broken into, and by the time I rang the car was long gone.

Another example was I complained to a bus company about a driver on a mobile, I posted it on boards and I had people saying to me, How did it effect me directly, and if not what was I doing moaning about it.

I once stood at a bus stop with an elderly woman and a guy in mid 20's, to lady was complaining cause the bus was late, the guy says to me whats she complaining for sure isnt she getting it for nothing, I said yes she is but she doesnt choose to have it for free, she is entitled to it. Therefore she is entitled to complain. Same can be said for people attitude towards irish hospitals when they have a medical card, just cause I get something free doesnt mean I cant complain about it. If i was stealing it thats different, but once your entitled, your entitled to expect same level of service as everyone else.

I am one off these people who if I go into resturant and I am paying good hard earned money for a service and I don't get that service, I will complain, I was in a restruant recently with my wife and mother, I wasnt happy with service, I complained to a manager about the service but not before my mother told me 'not to cause a scene', What did she think I was going to do start screaming at the chef??? I politily expressed my dissatisfaction to the manager, said apart from service the meal was perfect. For this I was thanked by the manager and asked to come back and handed a 10% discount for a meal for 2.

So often people come on here to complain about something but the 2 things that bug me is if they have not also complained to the relevent parties or people hat post back saying your a moan etc.

Sorry that was my joke (Americans complain when something is'nt up to snuff while we sit there silently).

I complain if I find it's worth complaining over(edit: and it would want to be something serious) Some people complain over nothing cos they are "entitled" to................

i think people complain way to much about stuff they think they're entitled to great service with anything i hate the way you get someone to do a service for you and they're trying to help you and if they get something wrong or do something wrong unintentionally and they get the pants sued off them

like doctors for example they're tryin their best (most of them) to make you better say he gave you a drug that you reacted badly to and you go sue the pants off him while he was tryin to help ya

Not the greatest example to use there tbh, doctors have become very lazy are very dependant on the old Anti-biotics  . You have these paranoid parents who take there kids in becuase they are sneezing to often, what does the doctor do, hit the kid with some bloody anti-biotics, its sick.

Well if something doesnt directly affect someone, they just mightnt care enough to complain
