Advice: If you're selling your photography, get a decent site designed! Get someone who can build an easy site to navigate through your images. Avoid pop-ups and frames. Categorise your work into galleries and post less images.

This is very harsh but I've seen hundreds of photobloggers posting images in their spare time, not getting paid for it and taking better images. I'm sorry but there's nothing new or original in your work. It looks like boring stock stuff.

Thanks for the advice. the site i am using is a tempory measure but works well at the moment.
As for the links IMHO they are also nothing great. The best of the bunch is the final link but a lot of that looks like gloryfied holiday snaps.

Thanks though all comments taken on board :-)

"The last link (http://www.artcoup.com/movie.html) looks like glorified holiday snaps", have you looked at his portfolio on 'gangs', 'dope' & 'crack'. It's amazing documentary work and very powerful.

http://snapcity.com/ is another amazing series of documentary work and actually the first ever photoblog on the net.

After having a read through my earlier comments, they are bit harsh. As a photographer myself, it's not easy getting criticism, especially when it's not constructive. Your photography isn't bad, it's more stock that would be used in brochures as such. I'm just not into that. I'm more into photography that tells a story or sparks a reaction (HCB).

As for portfolio layout, see how http://www.stevemccurry.com has his galleries laid out.

    Best of luck.

'gangs', 'dope' & 'crack' this type of "Street work" is indeed very good, some og the stuff though i do not like.

My own work can do with a fresh outlook having been about 6 months of nothing new due to personal issues.

As for the site. agreed it can be improved upon.

As before i take all comments on board and take nothing personaly as all taste differ :-)

nitrogen, that link http://www.artcoup.com/movie.html is excellent, some great work. Brookie.D with six months free time on your hands I think you could have posted better shots on your website, as this could get you more work. The shots you have posted can be captured by any amatuer. IMO they don't look professional. I think you should rethink and look at other peoples work and work on your technique. Six months down the line you could have a better website, with the potential of more work.
